THROWBACK: Luke Bryan and Angie Ward 2013

In 2009, Luke Bryan's career was sky rocketing and he wanted give back. He came up with the concept of a FARM TOUR. He would ask a few of his friends to join him on a stage, on farm somewhere in the country, and use the proceeds as a way of giving back to the local farming communities. Over it's 11 years, Luke and friends like Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson, Granger Smith, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jon Langston, The Peach Pickers and more helped raise money for local charities and created scholarships for students from farming families so they could attend local community colleges.

Ahead of the 2019 Farm Tour, Luke Bryan had awarded more than 60 scholarships since the Farm Tour launch and, along with his sponsor BAYER, had donated nearly 3 million meals and raised more than $180,000 to benefit area food banks and local farmers in various cities the Farm Tour had visited.

I attended my first Farm Tour at Wild Winds Farm in Athens Georgia in 2013. I had a chance to talk to Luke about it in my podcast!
