Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are back at it again.

Fans of The Voice might recall how the country star and Maroon 5 frontman used to bicker when they were both coaches in the singing competition. Well, it looks like their competitive edge hasn't changed one bit. Recently the two sparked their rivalry once again as both of their songs competed for the No. 1 spot on iTunes.

Shelton's new duet with girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, "Happy Anywhere," hit the top of the charts after its release on Friday (July 24). As exciting as that is, Shelton was still disappointed to see Maroon 5's new song "Nobody's Love" right behind him sitting at the No. 2 spot.

"My god Adam....you are still a pain in my a**!!!! Go away idiot!!!!" Shelton tweeted along with a screenshot of the iTunes chart.

Levine shot back at Shelton on his Instagram Story, writing, "Eat s**t cowboy! I'm comin' for ya!"

Their intense exchange might seem serious to some, however, it's all in good fun. Shelton's longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, even stepped in herself. "@AdamLevine leave my boyfriend @blakshelton along," she jokingly wrote on her Instagram Story.

"I will never leave him alone," Levine responded. "He was my boyfriend first."

Of course, Shelton didn't stop there. The country singer shared what appeared to be a fake tweet from Levine's wife, Behati Prinsloo, to add to the drama.

"Wow... Looks like some of @Beeprinsloo old tweets are resurfacing... I hope this doesn’t affect their personal lives.. @adamlevine #teamblake," Shelton wrote alongside the photoshopped tweet, which said: "Wow...I hate to say it but Blake is way better at this show than my husband."

Of course, Levine wouldn't let Shelton get away with the fake tweet that easy. The singer took a screenshot of Shelton's tweet and posted it on his Instagram Story, writing, "When your grandpa discovers he can make fake tweets..."

"Happy Anywhere" written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins, focuses on how no matter where you are or what the circumstances might be, happiness is possible with the right person by your side.

The new duet follows Shelton and Stefani's multi-week No. 1 hit, "Nobody But You," from Shelton's Fully Loaded: God's Country album. Additionally, the pair has previously released "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" and "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" together.
